About Patrick Jordan
Last Updated: October 2004
I work as a computer programmer through my company Ariel Computing Pty Ltd and as a lecturer at the University of Sydney. I can program in most modern languages (and some archaic ones) but far and away prefer Python for its incredible expressiveness. When that's not appropriate, I often choose Java for its convenient cross-platform ability and the Swing GUI toolkit.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the National Art School, majoring in Photography, and an honours degree in Computer Science from Macquarie University, which I completed in 1993.
In my spare time, I sing and play guitar, and ride an old Moto Guzzi.
Back in the early days of the web I created the web archive for Sarah Smiley's Virtual Beret Project.
Also in the early days I created the Unofficial Max Sharam web site. It's still up for posterity, but hasn't been updated for some years
I have also archived my Grandparent's stories and poems.
